HARRIS COUNTY, TX (January 15, 2024) – Saturday night, a horrific pedestrian crash on 16000 East Freeway near Sheldon killed one person.

The incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. in the 16000 block of East Freeway near Sheldon.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a gray Nissan Versa struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the highway. Then, a second vehicle, identified as a Honda Civic, struck the victim who was already down on the pavement, then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders pronounced the victim, dead at the scene.
