1 Person Hurt in Berkeley Pedestrian Accident on 1200 Derby Street
BERKELEY, CA (November 2, 2023) – Tuesday night, a horrific pedestrian crash on 1200 Derby Street injured one person.
The incident happened at around 6:24 p.m. on the 1200 block of Derby Street.
According to the Berkeley Police Department, a dark-colored compact car struck a child who was trick-or-treating with her mother. Also, officers reported that the mother stepped onto the street when the vehicle struck the child.
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital in stable condition.
Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the vehicle involved fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
