1 Dead in Huntington Beach Pedestrian Crash on Beach Boulevard and Williams Drive

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 25, 2023) – Late Sunday night, a horrific pedestrian accident on Beach Boulevard and Williams Drive killed 1 person.

The crash occurred at about 11:00 p.m. on Beach Boulevard, north of Williams Drive.

According to reports, an 18-year-old female driver of a 2019 Hyundai Kona from Upland drove northbound in the far left lane.

Then, she hit the pedestrian. According to the police, the pedestrian was outside of the crosswalk during the crash.

Officers identified the victim as a 34-year-old woman from Florida who was declared dead at the scene.

Then, the driver of the Hyundai stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

“Impairment did not appear to be a factor with the driver,” police added.

Furthermore, they urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact HBPD Traffic Investigator J. Rounds at 714-536-5666.
