1 Dead in Inyokern Auto Accident on Highway 14 near Dove Springs

INYOKERN, CA (December 23, 2023) – Wednesday night, a horrific multi-vehicle crash on Highway 14 near Dove Springs killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:21 p.m. on Highway 14, north of Dove Springs.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2016 Ford F-250, a 2016 truck tractor that was pulling a 2016 Wabash trailer, and a 2023 Mazda CX-50. Also, authorities confirmed that the Ford F-250 sideswiped a truck tractor, and after the initial crash, the Ford continued traveling and collided head-on with the Mazda.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the Mazda, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported two patients to a hospital, including one with severe injuries. Also, authorities found a dog at the scene that was ejected into the roadway during the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
