1 Dead in Glendale Motorcycle Accident near 61st Avenue and Olive Avenue

GLENDALE, AZ (May 8, 2023) – Saturday night, a horrific motorcycle crash near 61st Avenue and Olive Avenue killed 1 person.

The crash involving a car and a motorcycle happened at about 6:30 p.m. Moreover, it occurred near 61st Avenue and Olive Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located a motorcycle rider with injuries and attempted life-saving measures.

Glendale Fire Department also responded and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital. However, the motorcyclist succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

Meanwhile, reports revealed that as the motorcyclist traveled on Olive Avenue, a car making a left turn onto 61st Avenue hit them.

Officers confirmed that the driver of the car suffered no injuries in the crash.

Also, the incident shut down Olive Avenue from 59th to 63rd Avenues as crews worked at the scene.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
