Horrific Hit-and-Run Crash on Vineland Avenue Kills Pedestrian [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (January 20, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, a hit-and-run crash on Vineland Avenue, north of Vanowen Street, left a male pedestrian dead.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the North Hollywood pedestrian crash happened around 1:05 p.m.

LAPD says that a northbound white sedan struck a pedestrian trying to cross the street, and then fled the scene without rendering aid to the fallen man. Officials say that first responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead.

Authorities described the pedestrian as a man in his 60s or 70s.

Police are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.
