1 Person Dead in San Jose Auto Accident on Nieman Boulevard and Elkins Way

SAN JOSE, CA (April 4, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Nieman Boulevard and Elkins Way killed one person.

The incident happened at around 4:12 a.m. on Nieman Boulevard and Elkins Way.

According to the San Jose Police Department, a black 2017 Chevy Camaro that was traveling at a high rate of speed, failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a white Nissan Frontier pickup truck.

Moreover, officers confirmed that an occupant of the truck died in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the juvenile driver of the Camaro, pending charges.

Meanwhile, the crash closed multiple streets in the Kettman-Pomeroy neighborhood near John J. Montgomery Elementary School. All roadways have long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the SJPD continued to investigate the crash.
