1 Person Dead in Lake Elsinore Pedestrian Accident on Main Street and Interstate 15

LAKE ELSINORE, CA (November 21, 2023) – Sunday night, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Main Street and Interstate 15 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. on the Main Street entrance to southbound Interstate 15.

According to Officer Mike Lassig, a Toyota Camry hybrid struck a male pedestrian then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid. Then, a 2017 Ford Explorer ran over the victim who was already down the pavement. The Ford’s driver remained at the scene and called 911.

Moreover, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
