Driver Arrested in Suspected DUI Crash on Bullard Avenue
Clovis, CA (October 27, 2023) On Thursday afternoon, a Caltrans worker suffered injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 168.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the suspected DUI crash happened around 2:30 p.m. in the area of 168 and Bullard Avenue.
Officials say that Caltrans workers were doing an embankment cleanup with one of the lanes coned off on the Bullard offramp.
Reports say that a vehicle struck one of the Caltrans worker, when a driver went into the cone pattern and hit the worker with a mirror.
Authorities say that the driver fled the scene without stopping, fortunately, good Samaritans help stopped the driver from escaping until deputies with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office arrived.
Deputies arrested the suspect driver on suspicion of DUI. Meanwhile, the worker suffered moderate to major injuries.
