1 Dead in Llano Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 138 near Largo Vista Road

LLANO, CA (April 23, 2023) – Friday morning, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Highway 138 near Largo Vista Road killed 1 person.

The crash involving multiple vehicles occurred at about 6:55 am on Highway 138 near Largo Vista Road.

California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department both came to the scene.

According to reports, an early 2000s silver or gray pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-150 or Dodge Ram escaped the scene with front-end damage.

Meanwhile, the second vehicle was a Dodge Durango with a driver from Palmdale. Also, the third vehicle was a silver Kia Forte of Highland. Officers confirmed that the Highland resident died at the scene.

Moreover, the fourth vehicle was a black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with a driver from Pinon Hills.

Reports said that the hit-and-run driver let the truck travel the wrong way into the eastbound lane of Hwy 138.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge Durango attempted to avoid the wrong-way driver (hit-and-run). However, the driver lost control of the vehicle. Then, the Dodge Durango spun out of control and crashed with the silver Kia Forte and the black Toyota Tacoma.

Then, the driver of the Silver Kia Forte suffered fatal injuries. Moreover, the drivers of the Dodge Durango and the Toyota Tacoma both suffered minor injuries.

Due to the crash, the authorities issued a SIG-ALERT for eastbound and westbound Hwy 138 at around 7:33 am. Then, it was canceled at approximately 9:33 am.

Moreover, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to the pending notification of the next of kin.
