Reports said that the incident happened at around 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Terra Bella Street.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a large silver pickup truck that was traveling at a high rate of speed struck a pedestrian, then fled the scene northbound on Foothill toward Van Nuys Boulevard.
