1 Dead in Santa Monica Pedestrian Accident on Chelsea Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard
SANTA MONICA, CA (December 24, 2024) – Sunday night, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Chelsea Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard killed 1 person.
The incident happened at about 6:40 p.m. when a woman was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Chelsea Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard near Douglas Park, said the Santa Monica Police Department.
Emergency responders arrived to find the victim at the scene, where she succumbed to her injuries shortly after, according to police.
Officials reported that the hit-and-run vehicle was last seen speeding eastbound on Wilshire Boulevard. Authorities searched the area but were unable to locate the car.
The victim’s name and a description of the suspect vehicle have not been released.
