BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 25, 2024) – Sunday night, a horrific hit-and-run crash on California Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:17 p.m. on California Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a female pedestrian who was walking outside a marked crosswalk. Then, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to Kern Medical where she was later pronounced dead.
