Child Suffers Serious Injuries In Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision on 128th Street
Burien, WA (February 27, 2024) On Sunday morning, a deadly hit-and-run crash on 128th Street left a man dead and a child with serious injuries.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal collision happened in the 2200 block of 128th Street in Burien.
Officials say that deputies attempted to stop a suspect in a stolen vehicle at about 11:30 a.m. in the Sunset Park area.
Reports say that the suspect fled from authorities at high speed. Deputies did not chase the suspect, however, they followed the direction the suspect fled.
Authorities say that the suspect later was involved in a horrific 2-vehicle collision in the 2200 block of 128th Street.
Officials say that the collision involved the alleged stolen vehicle and a Jeep.
Moreover, the man driving the Jeep was killed in the crash, and a child sustained major injuries and was attended by medics.
Meanwhile, the suspect driver fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived at the scene.
Deputies are actively searching for the suspect who remains at large.
