JURUPA VALLEY, CA June 18, 2023) – Saturday morning, a horrific hit-and-run crash near Market Street and 24th Street killed 1 person.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department came to the vehicle-vs-pedestrian crash scene at about 2:35 a.m. Moreover, the incident occurred near the intersection of Market Street and 24th Street.

When the deputies and Cal Fire personnel arrived, they located the victim on the northbound shoulder of Market Street. Then, they declared the victim dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t arrested the suspect who remained at large. Moreover, they haven’t determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Also, they haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
