2 Dead in Fontana Auto Accident on Valley Boulevard and Cypress Avenue
FONTANA, CA (February 5, 2024) – Late Saturday night, 2 police officers suffered injuries in a horrific high-speed crash on Valley Boulevard and Cypress Avenue.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Cypress Avenue as officers tried to pull over a white Nissan Sentra for vehicle code violations.
Then, the suspect lost control and crashed with a police vehicle that was responding to the chase, police said.
Officers said that a total of four people occupied the Nissan. Two of them were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the other two were declared dead at the scene. Their identities remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, responders took the two officers in the patrol unit that was hit, to the hospital with serious injuries.
Furthermore, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department handles the crash investigation.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
