1 Dead in San Antonio Auto Accident on Interstate 37 and Houston Street

SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 29, 2024) – Saturday morning, a horrific head-on crash on Interstate 37 and Houston Street killed 1 person.

The crash occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 37 southbound and Houston Street.

Authorities reported that a Chevrolet Malibu was heading north in the southbound lanes of I-37. The vehicle collided with a southbound Dodge Ram just before the Houston Street exit. Medical personnel pronounced the Chevrolet’s driver, who was driving the wrong way, dead at the scene. 

The Dodge driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Officials stated that the Chevrolet driver’s identity remains unknown.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
