1 Dead in Phoenix Bicycle Accident near 21st Avenue and Northern Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (October 23, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, a horrific bicycle crash near 21st Avenue and Northern Avenue killed 1 person.

The crash between a bicycle and another vehicle occurred at about 5:30 a.m. near 21st Avenue and Northern Avenue.

A man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released yet. 

According to Phoenix police, the driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. Detectives are currently investigating the incident. 

Northern Avenue was closed in both directions between 21st Lane and 23rd Avenue but reopened just before 9:30 a.m.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
