Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Avon Way Under Investigation
Madera, CA (June 28, 2024) On Wednesday morning, 2 people were hurt after the Avenue 17 3-vehicle collision.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 0:53 a.m. on Avenue 17, east of Avon Way.
Reports say that the collision involved a Nissan, a 2009 Honda, and a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro.
Officials say that the eastbound Camaro behind the Honda, while the Honda was approaching the rear of the Nissan. The Honda attempted to pass the Nissan, however, the Chevy was not able to slowdown in time and crashed into the back of the Nissan.
The impact of the crash caused the Nissan to veer into the left and collided with the right side of the Honda.
Both the drivers of the Chevy and Honda sustained moderate injuries.
Authorities are investigating the 3-vehicle collision and have not released additional information at this time.
