FORT WORTH, TX (April 17, 2023) – Sunday night, a man died in a horrific auto-pedestrian crash on East Berry Street and Candace Court.

The incident occurred just after 5:30 p.m., near the intersection of East Berry Street and Candace Court.

Officers, fire crews, and other first responders came to the crash scene.

Upon their arrival, they located a man who had been hit as he crossed East Berry between the intersections.

After the crash, the investigators confirmed that the driver fled the scene. However, the driver was later located and detained by police.

Meanwhile, responders took the pedestrian to JPS in critical condition.
