SAN JOSE, CA (August 6, 2023) – Friday night, a horrific auto accident on US Route 101 near Yerba Buena Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 11:34 p.m. on US Route 101 near Yerba Buena Road.

According to the state agency’s first report, a vehicle pulled over on the left-hand shoulder of the highway near Yerba Buena Road. Officers confirmed that the vehicle was a white Hyundai Genesis.

Moreover, the authorities shut down the southbound lane of US 101 to Yerba Buena Road off-ramp. Then, authorities issued a SigAlert at 11:57 p.m.

As a result of the crash, one person succumbed to injuries. Thus, authorities requested a coroner to the scene.
