DALLAS, TX (January 25, 2024) – Tuesday, a horrific 2-vehicle crash on Jim Miller Road and Bruton Road killed 1 person.

According to reports, an SUV male driver lost control, struck a curb, and then hit a traffic light pole just after midnight. Then, the impact caused the SUV to spin across the intersection, until it overturned and landed on the woman’s car that was waiting at the red light.

The SUV collision led to significant damage as the vehicle’s door was forcibly detached and propped against a pole. The SUV’s bumper became lodged under another vehicle at an adjacent auto repair shop. Then, the scene was marked by debris from the collision.

A woman driving a white sedan suffered fatal injuries, with the top of her vehicle crushed. She was declared dead at a nearby hospital. Authorities have not released her name, as family notification is still underway.

Following the crash, the SUV driver fled on foot and reportedly took off in another vehicle. Law enforcement spent Wednesday searching for the driver, ultimately making an arrest in connection with the hit-and-run. The suspect’s identity has not been disclosed, and charges are pending as the individual is being booked.
