Horrific 2-Vehicle Crash on I-15 Injures Motorcyclist [Cajon Pass, CA]

Cajon Pass, CA (October 7, 2024) On Saturday afternoon, a motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries after a horrific 2-vehicle crash on I-15.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision on Interstate 15 happened at about 12:09 p.m. along southbound Interstate 15, just before the Truck Escape Ramp.

Reports say that a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a crash involving an SUV on Saturday afternoon in Cajon Pass.

The accident involved a motorcyclist riding a black street/sport bike, possibly a Suzuki, and a black SUV. The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle, leaving them lying in the middle of the four traffic lanes.

Good Samaritans quickly assisted, moving the injured rider to the shoulder of the freeway for safety.

Emergency responders arrived and transported the motorcyclist to a local trauma hospital in serious condition. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and did not sustain any injuries.

The incident is currently under investigation by the CHP’s Inland Office, with more information to be released as the preliminary accident report becomes available.
