1 Dead in Tucson Auto Accident on East Grant Road and North Rosemont Boulevard

TUCSON, AZ (June 1, 2023) – Saturday night, a horrific 2-vehicle crash on East Grant Road and North Rosemont Boulevard killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of East Grant Road and North Rosemont Boulevard.

According to reports, the crash led to the death of the 76-year-old passenger of a red Hyundai Elantra.

Meanwhile, responders took the female driver to the hospital with serious injuries.

Reports said that the Hyundai Elantra attempted to turn left, onto northbound Rosemont Boulevard, from eastbound Grant Road.

As the Elantra turned, a westbound Chevrolet Traverse crashed with it.

After the crash, the 27-year-old female driver of the Traverse sustained no injuries in the crash.

Meanwhile, officers noted that the Elantra occupants failed to wear their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Also, the driver had a suspended driver’s license.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
