1 Dead in Sugar Land Auto Accident on E Riverpark Drive and Grand Parkway

SUGAR LAND, TX (October 23, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a horrific 2-vehicle crash on E Riverpark Drive and Grand Parkway killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at 4:16 p.m. near the intersection of E Riverpark Drive and Grand Parkway.

According to Doug Adolph, Public Information Officer for the city of Sugar Land, the crash killed a child and injured four people.

Officers said that the incident involved two vehicles and seven parties. Then, responders airlifted two juveniles aging 10 to 14, to a hospital in critical condition.

However, one of the juveniles succumbed to injuries. Then, responders took three others to the hospital via ambulance while two others declined medical attention.

Moreover, officers revealed that they didn’t find any signs that intoxication played a role in the crash. However, they suspect that one of the vehicles ran a stoplight.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
