SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 17, 2023) – Thursday, a horrific 8-wheeler crash in Tomball killed 1 man.

The incident involving an 18-wheeler truck and an SUV happened in Tomball.

According to Harris County Sheriff, a Chevy Equinox SUV collided with a semi-truck that was carrying an oversized load of steel beams.

Reports said that the 18-wheeler failed to make its turn. Then, the driver backed up to try again, but as the truck was reversing, the SUV crashed into the back of it sheering the roof off the Chevy.

As a result, the 38-year-old man who was sitting in the backseat on the passenger side was declared dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, two other adults and a 13-year-old girl who was sitting in the front seat were transported to the hospital and are expected to survive.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
