Horiffic Rear-End Crash on Katy Freeway Injures 2 [Houston, TX]

Houston, TX (July 6, 2023) On Wednesday, a man and a woman were hurt after a deadly rear-end crash on Katy Freeway.

According to the Houston Police Department (HPD), the fatal 2-vehicle traffic collision happened at about 1:26 a.m. on the 5800 block of Katy Freeway.

Reports say that 2 motorcycle riders were weaving in and out of the lanes at high speed, then one of the riders crashed into the rear end of a truck with 2 occupants.

The impact of the rear-end collision pushed the truck towards a barrier. Officials say that the male motorcyclist died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the truck occupants, male and female, are expected to be okay.
