Randall Peters Injured in Deadly Santa Rosa Accident on Highway 12 and Irwin Lane

SANTA ROSA, CA (September 30, 2021) – Last month, Horacio Vigil, 42, died, while Randall Peters sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 12.

The accident involving a GMC Sierra pickup truck and a Chevrolet flatbed truck happened about 10:30 a.m. Moreover, it happened on Highway 12, east of Irwin Lane.

According to the investigators, the eastbound GMC, driven by Vigil, veered into the opposite lane. Then, it crashed with the westbound Chevrolet on the two-lane highway.

As a result, the GMC’s driver succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile, responders transported the Chevrolet’s driver, Mr. Peters, 67, of Healdsburg, to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for major injuries.

Also, both vehicles sustained major damage. No other occupants suffered injuries in the crash.

Meanwhile, the authorities shut down the highway in each direction between Merced Avenue and Irwin Lane.

By 1:45 p.m., all lanes have reopened.
