Mason County Traffic Crash Injures Drivers
Mason County, WA (July 25, 2021) – On Saturday, three drivers were injured in US 101 crash, just north of Hoodsport.
The authorities said the accident took place at about 4:20 p.m.
Apparently, a 28-year-old Hoodsport driver was southbound on U.S. 101.
At the same time, a 60-year-old Hoquiam driver, and a 48-year-old Port Angeles driver were northbound on the same highway.
Officers said the Hoodsport driver swerved over the center line and sideswiped the Hoquiam driver’s vehicle. Then, it collided head-on into the Port Angeles driver.
As a result, the Hoquiam and Port Angeles drivers sustained injuries in the accident. Rescuers took them to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
The Hoodsport driver also suffered injuries, though, he was not taken to a hospital.
Officers said the Hoodsport driver faces a possible charge of second-degree negligent driving.
Meanwhile, investigating officers said a fourth person was involved in the crash, but no further information was released.
