One Sustains Injuries in Broadway Accident
Chula Vista, CA (October 29, 2021) – On Thursday, a homeless man sustained injuries in a Broadway accident.
The incident took place just after 5:45 a.m. near the intersection with H Street.
Police said the Dodge Charger driver was southbound on Broadway and was making a west turn onto H Street.
However, he failed to negotiate the turn. He lost control of his vehicle and went up onto the sidewalk.
Then, the vehicle struck the victim on the north curb line of the street.
Subsequently dragging the victim’s shopping cart under the vehicle for about 100 yards.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital with a compound fracture to one of his legs.
Meanwhile, the police said alcohol was not believed to be a factor in this accident.
