Person Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 101
Salinas, CA (January 01, 2021) – On Tuesday, a homeless individual died in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 101.
The CHP responded to the crash scene at about 6:30 p.m. north of Laurel Drive.
Apparently, the victim was walking on the highway when struck by a vehicle.
The driver did not stop to render aid. Also, the CHP said there were no witnesses.
However, they recovered a side-mirror from the vehicle-involved at the scene of the accident to be considered as evidence.
