Female Pedestrian Sustained Major Injuries in Traffic Collision on Gateway Drive
San Diego, CA (January 21, 2023) On Friday afternoon, an SUV struck ad injured a 70-to-80-year-old woman in a pedestrian crash on Home Avenue.
San Diego Police says that the SUV-pedestrian traffic collision happened at about 5:43 p.m. as the woman was crossing 1700 Gateway Drive north to south.
Reports say that a white 2019 Buick Enclave on the No. 2 lane in the 4000 block of Home Avenue struck the woman.
Officials say that a 51-year-old man driving the Buick. Additionally, the woman was said to be walking outside a marked crosswalk.
Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital, the woman suffered several serious fractures along with other injuries.
Authorities are investigating the pedestrian crash and have not released further details about the traffic collision.
