Holly Newman Injured in Redding Motorcycle Accident on Court Street
Redding, CA (January 28, 2021) – On Monday evening, 40-year-old Holly Newman of Redding was injured in a motorcycle crash on Court Street.
The Redding Police Department said Newman was traveling northbound on a 2007 Suzuki GSX motorcycle.
At the same time, 72-year-old Faith Blatchford was driving a 2013 Honda CRV southbound on Court Street and turned left onto Tehama Street in front of Newman’s motorcycle.
As a result, Newman crashed into the passenger side of Blatchford’s vehicle.
RPD said Newman was wearing a helmet but it fell off during the accident.
Responders took her to Mercy Medical Center due to injuries to her left arm, left leg, and head.
Meanwhile, authorities do not consider alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the accident.
Police are still investigating the court street crash.
