Late Evening 2-Vehicle Wreck on Highway 101 in Hollister Sends One to Hospital
HOLLISTER, CA (February 4, 2019) – One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision late Monday evening on southbound Highway 101, just North of Highway 129.
The collision happened around 11:25 p.m. involving a black pickup truck and a Honda Accord.
When officers arrived on the scene, both vehicles were facing the wrong way on the right shoulder. The pickup truck overturned and was partially blocking the fast lane, while the Honda had front-end damage in the center divider.
An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and transported one patient to Natividad Medical Center in an unknown condition.
Towing services were requested to remove both vehicles from the wreckage.
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. An ongoing investigation continues to determine the factors involved and liability.
