1 Hurt in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident
PHOENIX, AZ (September 13, 2019) – A person sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Central Avenue.
Authorities are still looking for the hit-and-run driver who caused serious injuries to a woman on September 11. At about 11:49 p.m., a northbound 2006 Range Rover hit a 36-year-old woman crossing mid-block near Central Avenue and Southern Avenue.
According to reports, the woman didn’t use a crosswalk. Fire personnel transported her to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities added that the driver briefly stopped before heading north. They later found the suspect’s vehicle abandoned in a parking lot nearby.
The police didn’t find any license plate on the SUV.
Moreover, the crash shut down both directions of Central Avenue. However, the road has since reopened.
