San Diego Police Searching Suspect in Sixth Avenue Hit-and-Run Accident
San Diego, CA (June 24, 2023) On Friday afternoon, a hit-and-run crash on University Avenue injured an 82-year-old woman riding her motorized wheelchair.
According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the hit-and-run accident happened around 4:51 p.m. at the intersection with Sixth Avenue.
Officials say that a truck turning right onto southbound 6th Avenue struck a woman in a motorized wheelchair crossing on a marked crosswalk. The truck driver did not stop to render aid and fled away from the scene.
