Bakersfield, CA (September 28, 2023) On Monday evening, a 14-year-old girl was seriously hurt after a hit-and-run crash on Union Avenue.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the auto-pedestrian crash happened around 10:50 p.m. on the 900 block of Union Avenue.

Officials say that a teenage girl was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when a red sedan hit her. The driver of the sedan fled the scene without stopping to render aid to the fallen pedestrian.

Medics rushed the teenager to a hospital, the girl suffered serious injuries and was in critical condition.
