1 Person Dead in Yucca Valley Auto Accident on Twentynine Palms Highway near Avalon Avenue

YUCCA VALLEY, CA (January 28, 2024) – Friday night, a devastating hit-and-run crash on Twentynine Palms Highway near Avalon Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened on SR-62 (Twentynine Palms Highway), just east of Avalon Avenue.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle struck a teen, and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to Hi-Desert Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
