Compton, CA (October 15, 2023) On Saturday evening, a male pedestrian lost his life after a hit-and-run crash on Rosecrans Avenue.

According to CHP, the fatal hit-and-run crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on the intersection with Avalon Boulevard.

Reports say that an auto-pedestrian crash happened in the area, first responders found a male pedestrian on the roadway and officials pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The suspect driver fled the scene before authorities arrived, no description of the suspect and vehicle were available at this time.

CHP is investigating the fatal crash.
