Driver Arrested After Hit-And-Run Crash on River Road in Paso Robles

Paso Robles, CA (August 12, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, three people sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on River Road.

The California Highway Patrol reports that just after 1 a.m., a 15-year-old from Paso Robles was driving a 2013 Chevy Camaro northbound on River Road near Wellsona Road at approximately 80-90 miles per hour.

As the vehicle approached a turn, the driver lost control, veered off the paved road, and flipped the car several times. 

The driver and a 17-year-old boy in the front passenger seat sustained minor injuries. 

However, the rear passenger, a 22-year-old man from Paso Robles, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered major injuries.

After the crash, the driver and the teen passenger reportedly fled the scene but were quickly located. 

The driver was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and booked into San Luis Obispo County Juvenile Hall, according to the CHP.
