Sheriff Searching Suspect in Lemon Grove Wrong-Way Crash
Lemon Grove, CA (April 19, 2023) On Monday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Mount Vernon Street left a person with injuries.
San Diego County sheriff’s deputies say that the wrong-way crash happened around 10 p.m. when officials attempted a traffic stop on a wrong-way driver.
Reports say that the wrong-way driver did not stop and sped away, deputies failed to stop the vehicle as it went south on Massachusetts Avenue.
Officials later found the vehicle when it collided with another vehicle near Mount Vernon Street. The crash injured the innocent driver and was transported to the hospital by a family member.
Authorities say that the driver of the wrong-way vehicle fled from the scene and is still currently active.
Deputies are investigating the hit-and-run crash and are currently searching for the suspect driver.
