Horrific Hit-and-Run Crash on Maple Avenue Injures Man [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (January 15, 2024) On Sunday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Maple Avenue left a male pedestrian with a broken leg.

According to the Fresno Police Department (FPD), the rear-end crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. at the intersection with Church Avenue.

Reports say that a southbound dark-colored sedan rear-ended a pickup truck, the impact of the collision caused the pickup to lose control and crash into the side of a building, officials say that the pickup truck struck a man in his 40s standing next to a bus bench.

Medics say that the man suffered a broken leg and was rushed to the hospital. Officials say that no other people were hurt.

Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan fled the scene. Authorities say that the suspect driver and vehicle have been located in the 1200 block of South Winery Avenue. Officials say that the suspect will be facing felony hit-and-run charges.
