Arlington, TX (December 17, 2024) On Sunday evening, 2 people were killed after a horrific hit-and-run crash on Lamar Boulevard.

According to Arlington police (APD), the fatal crash happened at about 11:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Lamar Boulevard.

Reports say that police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver of a silver Chevy Malibu involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a man and a woman on Sunday night.

Authorities say that the crash occurred near Six Flags. Police say the driver veered off the road, struck two pedestrians walking on the sidewalk, and then sped away without stopping to help. The force of the impact threw one victim 50 feet and the other more than 100 feet. Sadly, both pedestrians died at the scene.

Investigators believe the silver Chevy Malibu sustained heavy front-end damage, including a damaged windshield, and parts of the vehicle were found at the crash site. Police have not determined whether the driver was intoxicated, impaired, or experiencing a medical emergency when the crash occurred.
