Horrendous Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 5 Led to Injury [King County, WA]

WSP Searching Suspect in Hit-and-Run Crash Near SR 516

King County, WA (April 11, 2024) On Monday evening, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Interstate 5 left a driver injured.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the hit-and-run crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on northbound I-5 just south of SR 516.

Reports say that a silver 2023 Nissan Sentra and a black 2006 Ford Escape were involved in the collision.

WSP said that Nissan was speeding on Northbound I-5 when it collided with the Ford. Officials say that the impact of the crash caused the Ford to roll multiple times.

Officials say that the driver of the Nissan fled the scene on foot. Authorities later determined the Nissan was reported stolen out of Tukwila.

Meanwhile, the Ford driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are investigating the hit-and-run crash and are currently searching for the suspect driver who remains at large.
