Male Biker Hospitalized after Hit-And-Run Crash on El Camino Real in Santa Clara
Santa Clara, CA (March 10, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, a male bicyclist sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on El Camino Real.
The hit-and-run crash on El Camino Real in Santa Clara happened around 4:53 p.m. on February 23.
Police said the victim riding his red-colored electric bike on the northbound Lawrence Expressway in the dedicated bicycle lane. The victim went straight and planned to make a left turn on El Camino Real.
The suspect drove westbound on El Camino Real. The bicycle collided with the suspect’s side area.
The suspect’s car did not stop and immediately left the scene, turning left on the southbound Lawrence Expressway.
EMS rushed the victim to a hospital and remained in critical condition.
A witness described the suspect’s car as a white-colored pick-up truck, police said. SCPD is looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect’s car.
