Horrendous Hit-and-Run Crash on Chester Avenue Injures 2 Pedestrian [Bakersfield. CA]

CHP Searching Suspect in Auto-Pedestrian Collision on Chester Avenue

Bakersfield. CA (June 25, 2023) On Saturday morning, 2 people were seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Chester Avenue.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the auto-pedestrian collision happened as both pedestrians were crossing Chester Avenue, north of Decatur Street.

Reports say that a black Chevrolet pick-up truck struck and fled the scene west on Washington Street.

The impact of the collision threw both victims into the road, both patients suffered major injuries. Medics rushed both victims to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, the suspect driver and vehicle, described as an older model truck with at least a six-inch lift remains at large.

Officials are investigating the auto-pedestrian collision.
