Fatal Rear-End Collision Near Ladera Vista Drive
Fullerton, CA (August 18, 2022) – Earlier today, a hit-and-run crash on Chapman Avenue claimed the life of a 67-year-old man.
It was past 5 a.m. when the deadly accident took place near Ladera Vista Drive.
According to the authorities, the bicyclist was westbound when he was rear-ended by a Ford F-250.
The impact of the collision threw the bicyclist into a planter and sustained injuries.
Right away, the emergency rescuers rushed the man to a hospital where he died.
Meanwhile, the truck driver went up onto a sidewalk where he lost a front tire but continued driving.

When the authorities arrived, witnesses told the police that the driver got out of the truck and ran into the neighborhood.
The authorities are still looking for the male driver involved in the fatal collision.
Also, they are investigating if the truck found in the neighborhood was the vehicle that struck the bicyclist.
In the meantime, officers withheld the name of the deceased in the crash on Chapman Avenue pending notification of kin.
