VALLEJO, CA (March 6, 2024) – Friday night, a devastating hit-and-run crash on 3200 Sonoma Boulevard killed 1 person.

The incident happened at 8:56 p.m. on 3200 Sonoma Boulevard.

According to reports, an unresponsive 37-year-old Vallejo resident was found lying on the street. Reports said that the victim appeared to have been hit by a vehicle that escaped the scene.

Officers confirmed that the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Reports added that the suspect’s vehicle was driving east on Valle Vista Avenue when it hit the pedestrian in or near the crosswalk.

Also, vehicle debris was found at the scene.

Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact Corporal Lenard Alamon of the Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division at (707) 648-4329.
