The incident happened at around 9:00 p.m. at the 11900 block of Foothill Boulevard.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a green 2004 GMC Sierra pickup truck struck a male pedestrian, and then fled the scene northbound from Terra Bella Street.

Moreover, responders pronounced the victim, a man in his 50s, dead at the scene.
