Phoenix Police Searching Suspect in Tragic Traffic Collision near 43rd Avenue

Phoenix, AZ (January 12, 2024) On Thursday, a hit-and-run crash near Dunlap Avenue left a male pedestrian dead.

According to the Phoenix Police Department (PPD), the tragic traffic collision happened near the area of 43rd Avenue and Dunlap Avenue.

Reports say that a man was found seriously hurt after a vehicle struck him, and then the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid to the fallen victim.

Officials say that the man was transported to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the hospital.

Authorities are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.

Police are investigating the tragic traffic collision and have not released further details at this time.
